The Monroe County Health Department is investigating after a person tested positive for COVID-19 after attending a house party in Pittsford.
Officials say the large house party occurred in the basement of a home on Sunday August 23rd. Authorities believe most of those who attended were students, and the health department says they received information that the attendees were not wearing masks or strictly maintaining appropriate social distancing.
Anyone who attended is asked to call the health department and immediately self-quarantine through September 6th.
Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza says social gatherings continue to be the main source of infection in our community.
