Democrats in the Monroe County Legislature have voted to replace Vincent Felder as their minority leader.
Nine members voted to replace him as leader with Legislator Yversha Roman.
Felder was not present for the vote, but reportedly said it is not valid.
The vote came after Felder delayed confirmation of Rochester City Councilwoman Jackie Ortiz as the county's new Democratic Elections Commissioner.
Following the vote, Republican Monroe County Legislature President Joe Carbone abruptly adjourned the meeting of the legislature -- before votes could be held on several agenda items.
