"Ghost Gun" Manufacturer Arrested

State Police and the federal Department of Homeland Security have charged an Ontario County man after they found him apparently manufacturing so called untraceable "ghost guns."

Mark Adams of Hopewell was charged with Criminal Possession of a Weapon for having a semi-automatic pistol in his car without a permit. The pistol had no serial number, and had been assembled from spare parts without a serial number.

Authorities got a search warrant for the 42-year-old man's home, where they found a cache of firearms, parts, plus tools and jigs for manufacturing guns. They seized two more 9 millimeter pistols, six assault rifles, numerous firearm parts and thousands of rounds of ammunition.
