The Monroe County Sheriff's Office is looking for a North Carolina man who has gone missing since visiting family in the Rochester area.
Deputies say 70-year-old Jeffrey Meredith has not been heard from since Monday evening.
Officials say Meredith checked into the RIT Inn and Conference Center Monday afternoon, and surveillance tape showed him leaving the hotel just after 2 am Tuesday morning.
Family members say Meredith's vehicle was found in the driveway of their home on Macedon Center Road in Perinton later Tuesday morning, but a search of nearby land has so far turned up empty.
Meredith is described as 5-foot-6 and 120 pounds, with black and gray hair and hazel eyes, and has a protrusion on his left forehead and a missing front tooth.
Meredith was last seen wearing dark-colored shorts and a dark-colored shirt.
Anyone with information his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
