The New York State Restaurant Association wants the state to permanently allow the sale of alcohol with takeout and delivery orders.The state currently allows the sale of alcohol with those orders, but only on a temporary basis under an executive order associated with the COVID-19 pandemic. According to a survey conducted by the Restaurant Association, 86 percent of New York adults are in favor allowing the sale of alcohol with takeout and delivery permanently. The Restaurant Association says takeout and delivery will be an important part of restaurants sales moving forward, and they want alcoholic beverages to be part of that equation.
