The state monitor who was appointed to the Rochester City School District will hold a public hearing via Zoom today.
It's a chance for the public to comment on the authority of the state education department and the Board of Regents to intervene in the school district.
The hearing is the first of three required under state law. The others will focus specifically on the academic and financial performance of the district.
Monitor Shelley Jallow will be developing an academic improvement and fiscal plan for the district.
