A construction worker is expected to recover after a concrete slab fell on him at the South Avenue Parking Garage in Rochester.
The fire department was called to the eighth floor of the garage where the working had been using a jackhammer when the slab fell on him. Other workers used a forklift to raise the slab, and firefighters were able to get him out.
Firefighters say the slab fell due to the construction work, not because of any structural failure.
