New York state is canceling its Democratic presidential primary on June 23rd due to the COVID-19 outbreak.
Democratic members of the State's Board of Elections voted to cancel the primary. The congressional and state-level primaries will still be held on that date.
New York Democratic Party chair Jay Jacobs has said "it makes sense given the extraordinary nature of the challenge."
