State health department officials have agreed to investigate reporting about COVID-19 deaths at The Hurlbut nursing home in Brighton.
Monroe County Health Commissioner Dr. Michael Mendoza asked for the probe, following a report in the D&C that Hurlbut had not reported seven COVID deaths to the state.
Hurlbut is not on the state's list as having more than five fatal cases.
The nursing home said this week -- to its knowledge -- its reporting to the state was accurate.
