Governor Cuomo is calling on the federal government to provide hazard pay to essential public workers working the front lines during the COVID-19 outbreak.
He says workers, including grocery store employees, should be paid a 50-percent bonus on top of their paychecks.
Cuomo is joining Senator Chuck Schumer in asking for the bonus pay in the next federal coronavirus emergency relief bill.
