NY, Maryland Asking For Billions In State Funding

Governor Cuomo and Maryland Governor Larry Hogan are asking for five-hundred-billion dollars from the federal government.

Hogan chairs the National Governors' Association while Cuomo is the Vice Chair; together they are seeking this funding to fund schools and re-open the economy.

Cuomo cited a Kaiser Health study reporting states like Minnesota and Montana each get three-hundred-thousand dollars per COVID-19 case, while New York state gets twelve thousand dollars per case.

Cuomo says the federal government needs to correct the economic devastation of the virus.
