Gates police say Gates Fire Chief Alan Bubel was arrested after a domestic argument at his home.
The argument happened Sunday night, when police say four children overheard statements that police say endangered their "mental and moral welfare".
Child Protective Services was notified and Bubel was booked Tuesday on four counts of endangering the welfare of a child. He's due in court May 13th.
An order of protection was issued for the children, two of which were his own.
