Rochester police are investigating after three city men were shot in the area of Lyell Avenue and Whitney Street early this morning.
A 27-year-old victim was seriously injured and is recovering at the hospital. The two other victims were hit in the legs and suffered relatively minor injuries. Both went to the hospital on their own power.
As the shots were heard, a car was seen leaving the area. The vehicle refused orders to stop and was pursued to Baur and Aab Streets, where the driver got out and was detained for questioning.
