A group representing county election commissioners across the state is urging leaders in Albany to postpone the April 28th Democratic Presidential Primary until June 23.
They say they are facing a shortage of staff, inspectors and polling places because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
And they say it will be nearly impossible to meet the upcoming deadlines for testing machines and preparing ballots.
And they want the law amended to allow vulnerable citizens to apply for absentee ballots -- even if they aren't sick.
