RIT and SUNY Brockport are cancelling their spring commencement ceremonies because of the COVID-19 pandemic.
Officials at RIT call it a "heartbreaking decision" but one that needs to be made to protect the health of students, their families, faculty, staff, and the community.
President David Munson says he hopes graduating students will remember that, even though the ceremony is cancelled, it doesn't take away from the hard work they have put in and their extraordinary accomplishments.
