Roberts Wesleyan College will end face-to-face classes effective March 18th and plans to resume classes via the internet on April 13th. Information for students is on the college's website.

St. John Fisher College is also taking precautions amid coronavirus concerns.
School officials say classes will be suspended from Friday, March 13 through Sunday, March 22.
Then classes will resume in an online format on Monday, March 23.
The college will remain open.

Nazareth College is moving toward online instruction.
Nazareth College President Daan Braveman announced today that spring break will be extended through Sunday, March 22.
Academic instruction will resume on Monday, March 23 through alternative delivery, including online instruction. Nazareth will continue to evaluate if classes can resume on campus at a future date.

Officials at Allendale Columbia say they have decided to suspend all in-person classes, effective tomorrow, March 13.
Officials say there are no known cases of coronavirus within the Allendale Columbia community.
This decision has been made out of an abundance of caution for the safety of students, staff, and our wider community, which is our top priority.

The University of Rochester is going to online classes for the rest of this school year, too.
A letter to the university community from President Sarah Mangelsdorf says "social distancing" is effective in slowing or stopping the spread of a disease, so the University of Rochester will switch to online classes for most of its undergraduate and graduate students for the rest of the academic year.
Spring break will be extended by two days as students and faculty prepare for the transition, with classes resuming on Wednesday, March 18th.

RIT is extending spring break through Sunday, March 22. No classes will take place during that time but the campus will remain open.
Starting Monday, March 23, all class will move to alternative methods until further notice.

Governor Cuomo says all SUNY and City University schools will be moving to a "distance learning model" for the rest of the semester -- starting next Thursday.
That means many classes will be held online to help reduce the number of college students on campuses. Cuomo says there may be some exceptions to avoid hardships

The Rochester City School District is following the guidance of other local school districts by postponing any unnecessary large public gatherings, including an event on NYSED Graduation Measures at East High School and Wilson Foundation Academy, that was scheduled for tonight.
