The New York State Thruway Authority will give an update today at 11 a.m. on the installation of a cashless tolling system.
Officials believe the change will cut congestion and improve traffic flow on the Thruway.
It'll also allow non-stop travel on all of the state's toll roads, bridges and tunnels.
The hope is to have the system in place by the end of the year.
