An attorney representing former Assemblyman Joe Errigo asked that a federal court appearance Wednesday be adjourned because his client recently fell at his home. The court appearance was moved to March 11th.
In a letter to the judge, Attorney Joseph Damelio said Errigo fell a few weeks ago and broke his collarbone. He was reportedly released from the hospital a few days ago, but is unable to walk and is having difficulty communicating.
Errigo was arrested in October of 2018 after an FBI investigation accused him and lobbyist Robert Scott Gaddy of taking bribes to introduce a piece of legislation.
