The Village of Sodus Point is concerned about the possibility of more Lake Ontario flooding this spring.
Village Mayor Dave McDowell has declared a 30-day State of Emergency that will allow the village to inspect break walls and sand bags on private property.
The lake water level is 246 feet, six inches -- which is higher than average.
While there is no imminent flooding threat, McDowell says the emergency order will allow the village to prepare.
