New York is offering free tax filing sites for the 2020 tax season.
Governor Cuomo says taxpayers who made 69-thousand-dollars or less last year are eligible for a variety of free tax prep and filing options online and at a dozen locations statewide. Cuomo notes that eligible taxpayers may also prepare and file their returns for free by using tax preparation software available through the Tax Department's website.
The free filing sites in Monroe County include both Monroe Community College campuses and the Central Library in Rochester. But hours are limited.
