Two adults and seven children were forced out of their home last night by a fire at 114 Sanders Street.
The Rochester Fire Department says a resident was warned by a smoke detector in the attic and got everyone out of the house. Firefighters located the flames in the space between the second floor ceiling and the attic floor boards. The two family house was left uninhabitable by the fire, and the Red Cross was assisting the occupants. Nobody was hurt.
The cause of the fire remains under investigation.
