A heavy police presence surrounded a house at the corner of Norton Street and Nye Park in Rochester this afternoon. Rochester police say they got word a man wanted for questioning in a robbery case was inside, and possibly had a gun.
Police closed the surrounding streets as a precaution. The man came out of the house on his own and a SWAT team checked the building. Nobody was hurt and all streets in the area have reopened.
A 26-year-old city man was taken into custody. Charges are pending.
