Buffalo Bills Hall of Famer Jim Kelly is getting behind one of the Republicans hoping to fill the seat in Congress left vacant by the resignation of Chris Collins.
Kelly said in a tweet Saturday night that he and his wife, Jill, are supporting Beth Parlato. And Kelly said that President Trump supports Parlato, too.
That led to criticism on Twitter from some of Kelly's fans, though his tweet was getting more "likes" than critical comments.
Kelly said his daughters grew up with Parlato's children. And he said he and Jill trust her.
The special election is expected to be held April 28th.
