Fire heavily damaged an apartment building on Driving Park Avenue yesterday evening.
The Rochester Fire Department says they were called to the building at 500 Driving Park about 6:15 p.m. All the occupants managed to escape before firefighters arrived. Fire extended from the basement to the second floor, causing fire, smoke and heat damage to the entire building. The Fire Department says five adults and five children were displaced by the fire and were being aided by the Red Cross.
A dog was killed in the fire.
