A former Rochester Red Wing is returning to manage the team.
The Minnesota Twins organization has named Toby Gardenhire to manage the team in the upcoming season.
He has managed at the Single A level in the two previous seasons, and was a third-base coach for the Wings in 2017.
His playing career ended in 2011 and included parts of two seasons in Rochester.
He is the son of Ron Gardenhire, who managed the Twins from 2002 to 2014.
