Another Republican state Senator from the Rochester area says he won't be seeking another term.
55th District state Senator Rich Funke won't be seeking re-election in 2020.
In a video statement, he says it was an honor and a privilege to serve the community.
Funke joins fellow Republicans Joe Robach and Michael Ranzenhofer in deciding not to run again.
Republicans lost control of the Senate to the Democrats in 2018 and prospects for a comeback next year were dim.
Funke is in his third term in Albany. He previously served as sports anchor and news anchor at Channel 10.
