State lawmakers will try again in the New Year to pass a bill allowing movie theaters to sell alcohol.
The bill previously cleared the state Senate, but stalled in the state Assembly.
The legislation would not allow alcohol to be sold during screenings of movies rated G or PG.
A few movie theaters in the state already sell alcohol, but they had to be classified as restaurants to get a liquor license.
