A public hearing is set for this afternoon on legislation in Monroe County that would prohibit annoying police and emergency responders.
The proposal has already cleared the County Legislature, but critics are urging outgoing County Executive Cheryl Dinolfo not to sign it.
The opponents say the language is vague and could conflict with free speech rights.
Violators could face a fine or jail time.
The hearing will be held at the Monroe County Executive building at 2 p.m.
