The first formal steps are being taken to put a University of Rochester orthopedics center at Marketplace Mall.
Representatives of the University and mall developer Wilmorite presented the plan last night to the Henrietta Town Board.
Plans call for a seven-story tower at the site of the former Sears store.
The project is expected to be presented to the planning committee this week.
Permits reportedly could be issued by spring and construction could take three years.
