A Rochester Police officer is recovering from minor injuries after allegedly being involved in an altercation with a suspect last night.
Authorities say the officer was responding to a scene on First Street for the report of drug activity.
Authorities say during an encounter with suspect Jemet Flores -- the officer was hit.
The officer chased Flores to an area on Miller Street.
Flores is facing several charges including attempted assault. The officer was treated at the hospital for minor contusions and scrapes.
