Flu season is underway and experts say it could be severe. Dr. Buddy Creech of Vanderbilt University says Australia's flu season is a good predictor of what will happen in the U.S.
The CDC estimates last season in the U.S., there were nearly 43-million cases of the flu, with 61-thousand deaths, in what was the longest flu season in a decade. Besides getting a flu shot, Dr. Creech says you can protect yourself and prevent the flu from spreading by washing your hands often and covering your nose and mouth when you sneeze or cough.
