Governor Cuomo's ban on flavored e-cigarettes in New York is on hold thanks to an appeals court judge.
The judge put a temporary restraining order on the ban, which was due to take effect at midnight. Smoke shops were notified by a State Health Department hotline that the ban on flavored vaping liquids was being delayed "indefinitely" while a case brought by the vaping industry against the governor's ban is argued in court.
Cuomo ordered the ban on flavored vaping products after more than a thousand people got sick nationwide from vaping and 18 of them died.
