Dade to Release Details on School Deficit

Rochester City School District officials are planning to hold a news conference Thursday to say more about the surprise deficit from the last fiscal year.

New Superintendent Terry Dade says he hopes to have more details on the amount of overspending and the district's plans to compensate. Dade has pledged to keep any cuts as far from the classrooms as possible.

The state Comptroller is planning to audit the district in the next few weeks.
