Avon Man Arrested on Forgery Chareges

An Avon man has been arrested on a string of felony charges after he tried to cash a forged check for $50,000.

Livingston County Sheriff Thomas Dougherty says 47-year-old Jonathan Rossborough is charged with two counts of felony forgery, attempted granc larcen, felony grand larceny and petit larceny. The sheriff's office says Rossborough stole personal checks from a relative who lives in Groveland, forged the victim's signature to them and tried to cash them.

Rossborough was already in jail on a parole violation when he was charged. He's being held without bail.
