One person is dead following a crash in Riga.
The Monroe County Sheriff’s office says 47-year-old Sergey Maystruk was driving on Griffin Road around eight o’clock last night when he lost control and went off the road, hitting a tree.
He was pronounced dead at the scene. A woman was taken to the hospital with chest and leg injuries.
Authorities say speed and alcohol appear to be factors in the crash. The investigation is ongoing.
