A state judge has ruled that Monroe County Democrats can field a candidate for a state Supreme Court vacancy, after all.
State elections officials initially ruled last month that Democrats missed a deadline to get Assistant District Attorney Meredith Vacca on the ballot in November.
But the ruling this week says there is still ample time to include Vacca on the ballot.
Another Democrat -- former Family Court Judge Patricia Gallaher -- also was ruled ineligible last month but did not contest the decision.
