The Ontario County Sheriff's Office charged a Phelps woman with resisting arrest and failure to pay a fine after they found her in the trunk of a car.
Deputies say they pulled Michael Kushaney of Auburn over in Phelps, and found 38-year-old Nicole Heidemann hiding in the trunk of his car. She was wanted for failing to pay a fine for driving without a license.
Her sister, Jennifer Heidemann, was also in the car. She was carrying various substances believed to be drugs, and is charged for now with resisting arrest. Michael Kushaney was also charged with resisting arrest, since he and Jennifer Heidemann knew Nicole Heidemann was on the run and tried to hide her.
