New York State Attorney General Letitia James is launching an anti-trust investigation of Facebook.
The investigation is focusing on potential anti-competitive conduct stemming from Facebook's dominance in the social media business.
James says she wants to know whether Facebook has stifled competition and put users at risk. The investigation will look at whether Facebook’s actions may have endangered consumer data, reduced the quality of consumers’ choices, or increased the price of advertising.
James is being joined by eight of her counterparts around the country.
