Rochester Fire Department investigators believe Randal Jackson, the only person in the home at the time, directly and intentionally caused the explosion.
Authorities say Jackson tampered with the gas meter’s pressure regulator -- causing the gas to flow into the home.
No other injuries were reported.
Jackson's exact cause of death remains under investigation.
