The Ontario County Sheriff's Office says they have made an arrest in connection with a Phelps homicide investigation.
Omar Antonio Martinez-Salome of Rochester is charged with murder in connection with the death of 28-year-old Jean Carlos-Rentas who had just moved to this area from Cleveland. He was found dead on August 13th along Route 96 with a single gunshot wound to the head.
Sheriff Kevin Henderson says a second suspect is being held in the Monroe County Jail on an unrelated charge.
Authorities say they are still looking for Rentas' vehicle, which authorities say was used in the commission of the crime. The car is a 2007 Acura with NY registration.
