The Monroe County Sheriff's Office says ROCTAC...the Rochester Threat Advisory Committee ...has had a successful first six months.
Sheriff Todd Baxter says the the agency, that coordinates 24 law enforcement, health and school agencies to fight possible domestic violence incidents, has handled 11 cases during its first half-year.
ROCTAC says it can't share specific cases because of confidentiality and HIPPA regulations, but it measures success by those who have brought a case before the committee and received guidance that helped them resolve their cases in a peaceful manner.
Baxter says we'll never know how many lives have been saved by helping settle a threatening situation before tragedy strikes.
