The Rochester City School District is releasing the graduation rates for the 2018-2019 school year.
School Board President Van White says there has been progress over the last several years.
District wide there is a 58 percent graduation rate...up from 43 percent just a few years ago.
White says it is the highest graduation rate in ten years.
City Communications Director Justin Roj (Roy) says in a statement "While we welcome any sign of slight progress in the Rochester City School District, it is disturbing that over the past five years the increase in graduation rates are almost exclusively attributed to local diplomas, which the State has been asking districts to phase out."
The statement goes on to say that there is concern many students are leaving the district and arent college or career ready.
