Two Greece residents are facing charges they tortured a puppy and abandoned it in a locked crate.
The crate containing the six-month-old Yorkshire terrier mix was found two weeks ago behind a trash bin at a Charlotte apartment complex.
It was so badly injured, it had to be euthanized.
Ashley and Leo Bullard are charged with injuring and failure to properly care for the dog.
Ashley Bullard has also been charged with abandonment of a pet.
