Opening statements are expected today at the rape trial of former Webster teacher and high school coach Kali Watkins.
He's accused having sex with a 14-year-old girl more than two years ago. A grand jury indicted him on first and second-degree rape charges.
Watkins was the varsity girls' basketball coach and a special education teacher at Webster Schroeder High School.
A jury of 12 people and two alternates was seated yesterday.
