Rochester Mayor Lovely Warren has come down hard on the court ruling blocking her referendum on the future of the city school district. Warren called it "truly a sad day" and "a grave injustice."
She casts the ruling as those in power in the Rochester Schools fighting to hold onto their power at the expense of students, and said none of the district's court case mentioned what's best for students. She says the ruling locks them into a broken system that can't give them what they need to succeed.
Warren says she'll keep fighting to dismantle the school system...and build a better one. She called on all students and their families to join her.
