A person of interest in a 2012 homicide investigation in Charlottesville, Virginia, may be in the Rochester area.
Police in Charlottesville are looking for Erik McFadden and say he may have ties to Rochester. Police want to talk with him about the disappearance of a transgender woman, Sage Smith.
McFadden was reportedly the last person to have contact with Smith. Smith’s disappearance was ruled a homicide in 2016.
