Rochester firefighters say no one was hurt in a house fire this morning on the city's east side.
It was reported around 8 a.m. on Indiana Street, just off Atlantic Avenue.
There were no working smoke detectors, but a barking dog woke up the people inside. One adult living in the basement had to crawl out a small basement window to escape the fire.
The Red Cross is helping four adults and a child.
The fire caused extensive damage. The cause is under investigation.
