Today is Primary Election Day

Polling places open today at noon for voters to cast ballots in primary election contests.

In Rochester, there are contested Democratic primaries for city council, city judge and school board.

In Monroe County, there are primaries for county judge, the county legislature, and the Independence Party primary between the two major party candidates for County Executive.

In Orleans County, Republicans will settle the contest for sheriff between Chris Bourke and Brett Sobieraski.

The polling places close at 9 tonight.

If you run into any problems voting today, Attorney General Letitia James has set up an Election Day Hotline to resolve them.

The number 1-800-771-7755.

The Hotline will be staffed by attorneys and staff in the Attorney General’s Civil Rights Bureau.
