A bill that would give illegal immigrants the right to apply for driver's licenses may clear another legislative hurdle this week. According to The Wall Street Journal, the Senate will vote on the measure this week. The bill already cleared the Assembly last week. Governor Cuomo says he'd sign the bill if it gets to his desk. A recent poll showed 53 percent of New Yorkers are against illegal immigrants applying for licenses.
