Block Possible for T-Mobile, Sprint Merger

New York and nine other states are suing to block to merger between Sprint and T-Mobile. The companies have promised 1,300 jobs at a new call center in Henrietta if the merge is approved -- but the states claim the deal would hurt competition. New York Attorney General Letitia James and the other plaintiffs say the deal would lead to higher prices and fewer choices for consumers. T-Mobile and Sprint argue that the merger would allow them to more quickly roll out a next-generation 5G network and increase service to rural customers.
